I think I am pretty slow.  I admit that took courage to write!  And sure that can mean mentally and physically.  So when I saw the tweet about the Slow Down Challenge – I was sure it wasn’t for me.  I home-school, we simplify, we have no TV.  Yet, I heard this voice.

It is a kind voice. It just says “Marce…”  and when I hear it I think, “Really??  I need work here too?”

Silence.

Day 1: The Challenge is to NOTICE.

Sycamore

While finishing our run and back to walking mode – Andre and I spotted the morning sun on this Sycamore.  Having peeled off its outer layers to reveal entirely smooth white bark.  I had this great desire to reach up and touch it.  Feeling its perfect flatness under my hand, if I could only get up there….

We also saw a Great Blue Heron.

We are thankful for nature around us, reminding us of the Glory of God…EACH and EVERY DAY!

Hi, Marcella. Thank you for this reminder to slow down. I can’t remember where, but I just heard those words yesterday, so I’m sensing a theme 😉 And that photo of the sycamore is GLORIOUS! In perusing your blog I already saw two of my favorite authors quoted . . Brennan Manning & Holley Gerth. I’m so glad to have found you!
