Today’s reading of Utmost for His Highest talks about remembering why you were created. Here are a few snippets from the reading:
“The entire human race was created to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.”
“God’s great purpose for the human race – he created us for Himself.”
“Continually keep your soul open to God’s creative purpose…”
“You are created to be God’s servant.”
How often do we go though those – what is my purpose moments? Honestly, at times I struggle with this daily, I see it running though my mind like news scrolling across the bottom of the screen. After reading Utmost in prayer time I asked God “What are your intentions for me?” I heard this immediately,
LOVE. You glorify Me by loving others.
Thank you Lord for your answer to prayer!
As I wrote these words in my journal, I continued to write this exchange:
God: Love people right where they are.
Me: That may change their life.
God: With my help lives WILL be changed.
