As I read my devotions in Advent I read about how Mary made space for God, literally in her body.

“There’s no need to produce or perform or perfect – simply become a place for God. That is all….Anytime you’re a share space for another soul or you open and conceive grace ~ you become a womb for God….” – Ann Voskamp

You too are a space to receive God. Can you make room?

”And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, who will be to you a friend just like me—and he will never leave you. The world won’t receive him because they can’t see him or know him. But you know him intimately because he remains with you and will live inside you.“

John 14:16-17 TPT

It is my belief that Sanctification (growing Christ-like) is mostly about making space for God in your mind, body and spirit.

Here’s an example: that thing you are obsessing and worring about, whatever it is. What if you stopped?

I believe God would rush into that void and fill you with Love. But when was the last time you stopped? God waits…

We complain God isn’t near but did we stop and make space???

What if a small step this year was intentionally making space. Stop the worry for 30 seconds and think about God who is Love, read scripture, look at Creation. You just made 30 seconds of space for God…not a big life change but movement toward the God who loves you. That’s a big deal.

Our surrendered moments become a space for God, for Love.

Here’s the devotion I recorded that goes along with this…
